This morning during one of my bouts of insomnia, I read this article on Crunchy Domestic Goddess about how the media portrays childbirth and the effect this has on us.
It got me thinking about how I hope my labour will go and what is important to me. Mr T. and I ended up talking about in the car today as he asked me if I am scared about having to go though labour. I know I probably should be, but it's funny how at this stage I am quite calm and open minded about the whole thing.

I have a preference for as natural a birth as possible, but accept that I will need to place myself in the capable hands of my obstetrician and the staff at Cabrini Hospital.
Should I prepare a birth plan or just express a few key requests (will I be in a state where I am able to explain these anyway!).....Does any one have any good general advice for me??
